Arrive early enough to watch the light find the volcanic rim. If clouds erase the summit, the coast below still gives the morning a shape. The island rarely offers only one reason to stop.

Choose one of Jeju’s small volcanic cones and walk it without treating the top as a deadline. Grass, stone, and wind change the view long before the path reaches its highest point.

The south gathers waterfalls, markets, harbour edges, and slower streets. Pick a compact radius, then let lunch and weather decide which direction remains possible.

Meet the last light on the western coast, but step away from the busiest viewpoint. A stone wall, a quiet lane, and a smaller patch of water can hold the evening just as well.
